CONNECTED AGAINST HUNGER is a fun, sporty, team-based experience available on the AppStore and Google Play.
In practice, CONNECTED AGAINST HUNGER records your physical activities (walking, running, cycling), with or without the help of a third-party application, and transforms them into points that will allow your team to go higher and higher in the ranking.
Missions and quizzes regularly spice up the experience and help you and your teammates to earn even more points, always in a good mood. So, are you ready? 🙂
CONNECTED AGAINST HUNGER promotes physical activity, team spirit and well-being.
Your reward: to do good to your body and mind, but also to share a unique and inspiring experience with your colleagues.
Eventually, your company may decide to set up incentives, both individual and collective, for the benefit of a charity or an environmental project for example.
CONNECTED AGAINST HUNGER is available on :
iOS – from iOS 15
Android – from version 8
Unfortunately, CONNECTED AGAINST HUNGER is not available on Windows Phone.

Depending on the application or connected object you use, you can synchronise your activities from a third-party application. To do this, simply go to the «Settings» page of the application and click on «Connect a sports application».
Of course we do! We are very attentive to the protection of your data and we only use them within the framework of the challenge in which you participate.
Moreover, CONNECTED AGAINST HUNGER is declared to the CNIL in order to respect the 1978 law on data processing and liberties. You can consult our privacy policy on our website.
Teams are ranked according to the points they have earned from 15 May to 9 June 2023.
The only objective is to win as many points as possible! To do this, the points of each team member are added together and everyone can follow the team’s ranking in real time from the application.
A boost is a magical power that makes a teammate earn 10% more points for 24 hours.
Whether you are physically active or not, you can boost your colleagues!
The same user can accumulate up to 3 boosts, that is 30% more points. Enough to fill up on points. It’s up to you to be as strategic as possible!
Boosting a teammate is very simple! Go to the «Team» page and click on «Booster» for the teammate you want to boost. You can also directly boost the teammate you want by going to his profile from the same page.
Important: if you boost a teammate, this boost will be valid for 24 hours only. Similarly, if you receive a boost from a teammate, it will also count for 24 hours. So be strategic 😉
Each week, you will discover the new mission of the teams in a country where Action Against Hunger works.
The goal is simple: to complete 100% of the collective and individual missions to advance in the game and earn maximum points!
To see the journey of your aid workers live, go to the event roadmap! You will find it in the help module on the homepage of the application.
The sports missions consist of five activities: walking, running, cycling and yoga.
Missions are offered very frequently to challenge you. These can be individual or team activities. For example, you may be asked to complete a certain number of steps or kilometres in a limited time.
To participate, nothing could be easier! Go to the «Home» page and click on «Physical Activities». All the current missions will be available below each activity.
The yoga activities are available as a quiz: you will be asked if you want to follow the session and you will be redirected to an online yoga link.
To earn points for this Yoga session, there will be dedicated questions about the session!
CONNECTED AGAINST HUNGER is not just about physical activity!
On a regular basis, you will be asked to answer questions on different topics (sport, health/nutrition, etc.).
If you answer correctly, you will get bonus points. If you have any doubts about the answer, don’t hesitate to talk to the members of your team via the application’s chat.
Go to the bottom of the «Home» page and click on the quiz to answer it.
The question and the suggested answers will then appear on the screen. Whether you answer correctly or not, there will always be a little explanatory text to give you more details and hopefully teach you something new!
If cheating is a sport, it is not accepted on CONNECTED AGAINST HUNGER 😉
This challenge must be carried out in a fair-play and good mood. We count on you and your teammates to preserve this spirit!
As in any game, cheating is of course possible. We detect suspicious activities (analysis of speed, cadence, etc.) and can proceed to the regulation of points. If necessary, we come back to the participant to ask for more details. If a cheater is identified, points will be deducted and he/she may be excluded from the challenge in case of a repeat offence.
Whichever phone you have, make sure you enable access to motion and GPS for the CONNECTED AGAINST HUNGER app when you start the app or in your phone settings. Otherwise, no activity will be recorded.
Start an activity directly from the home page of the application. Just click on «Run» or «Pedal».
Once the GPS is synchronised, click on «Start». To finish the activity, press «Finish». A summary of the performance appears.
The points scored after a ride are added to your personal counter, but also to the team counter. Step counting is automatic.
It syncs with your Google Fit app (for Android) and Apple Health (for iOS) for more accurate tracking. You can also sync your connected watch’s activities with Garmin.
Il se synchronise sur votre application Google Fit (pour Android) et Apple Santé (pour iOS) pour un suivi plus précis. Vous pouvez aussi synchroniser les activités de ta montre connectée avec Garmin.
Every application has its own algorithm for recording the number of steps taken each day. No method is 100% reliable and it is possible that you will sometimes notice a discrepancy between your application and CONNECTED AGAINST HUNGER.
Nothing serious, it’s still a game 😉 However, if the difference is too big (more than 30%), don’t hesitate to write to eva@squadeasy.com so that it can be corrected.
Did you walk from home this morning and when you check your step count when you get to the office, you find that the counter is stuck at 0?
Check that you have downloaded the latest version of the app on your phone and, if you’re on Android, that you have downloaded Google Fit – then check whether any steps are recorded on that app.
Finally, we invite you to check that you have accepted access to your phone’s movements in the application’s settings.
If the problem persists, try restarting your phone. As a last resort, do not hesitate to write to eva@squadeasy.com
Steps taken during a running session can be counted and generate extra points for you and your team!
At the moment, the easiest way to count steps in addition to a running activity is to go running with your smartphone 🙂
To sync your activities from an application other than Health, Google Fit, you need to sync your activities to one of these applications and then sync to CONNECTED AGAINST HUNGER.
You have been using CONNECTED AGAINST HUNGER and you have noticed an error in the distance, time or GPS track? This is probably due to a loss of GPS signal during your race or a wrong manipulation.
If you need help, write to eva@squadeasy.com
It can happen that the points are not immediately counted at the end of an outing.
This is usually due to the network being too weak when you register your trip. If after several attempts to synchronise, the points are still not allocated to you, try restarting your CONNECTED AGAINST HUNGER application.
If the problem persists, don’t hesitate to write to
We are well aware that activities performed in the gym or at home are just as physical as outdoor efforts.
Unfortunately, we don’t count this type of activity at the moment. Maybe soon 😉
It is currently not possible to connect a GPS watch directly to CONNECTED AGAINST HUNGER.
But we are working on it! However, you can always connect your watch to a third party application and transfer your data to CONNECTED AGAINST HUNGER via this application.
For your step count via your Garmin watch, Eva recommends that you sync Garmin to your health app (Google fit or Health) and then sync it to CONNECTED AGAINST HUNGER.
The points for walking are counted according to the number of steps taken and according to the rule: Ex: 10000 steps = 60 points.
They are counted when you walk, run and sometimes even when you cycle.
The application detects the movement of your phone. So when you do these activities, your phone is moving and counting steps.
Points for the races are calculated according to a formula that takes into account distance, speed, as well as elevation gain and boosts.
Only races above 5 km/h and more than 1 km in distance will be taken into account.
Distance points: 5 pts for 1km run
Speed points: 3% of distance points x speed
Race points: Distance points + Speed points
Elevation gain: 10 pts for every 100m
Boost Bonus: 1 boost = + 10%.
For example, for a 10.8km run at a speed of 11km/h, and with 100m of ascent, we obtain
Distance points: 10.8 x 5 = 54
Speed points: 0.03 x 54 x 11 = 17.82
Difference in altitude points: 10 points
Race points: 54 + 17.82 + 10 = 81.82 > rounded to 82 points
Points for cycling are calculated according to a formula that takes into account distance, speed, as well as altitude differences and boosts.
Only rides above 5 km/h and over 1 km in distance will be taken into account.
Distance points: 3 pts for 1km
Speed points: 1,5% * distance pts * speed
Race points: Distance points + Speed points
Elevation gain: 5 pts for every 100m
Boost Bonus: 1 boost = + 10%.
For example, for a 25.3km run at 15km/h, with 100m of ascent, we obtain :
Distance points: 25.3 km x 3 = 75.9
Speed points: 0.015*75.9*15 = 17.08
Difference in altitude: 5 pts for every 100m
Race points: 75.9 + 17.08 + 5 = 97.98 points > rounded to 98 points
The social wall is a great way to share your outings! You can share messages, photos, react to other participants’ posts and even earn points!

Feature not available on all challenges.

The carbon mode calculates the amount of CO2 reduced during your mobility activities and gives you carbon savings comparisons: km by TGV, litres of tap water.
At the end of your running or cycling activity, if your activity has replaced your vehicle, check the «mobility trip» box, this will automatically calculate the amount of CO2 reduced during this activity.
